Fingerprinting 101

Virtual Machines slow performance, consume massive amounts of resources to run, waste disc space, and make you wait to even load them up. This makes it a burden to manage and start many of them.

In sharp contrast, HydraVeil profiles have an instant load with no performance drag. Yet you still get most of the security and browser fingerprinting benefits that a VM normally would provide.

Nostr is a decentralized social media, using encryption as identity. Users cryptographically sign their posts, which are distributed by relays. Because it's not tied down to any particular location, it's censorship resistant

Because Nostr uses encryption as identity, we know for sure who is saying something. So HydraVeil ties Nostr social media keys to VPN keys (in WireGuard format), and then our client cryptographically verifies that the WireGuard node operator is who we claim it is.

Then the end-user picks who they trust to route different profiles through.

With system-wide through one operator, and the browser through another, it's anonymous.

Normally people in different countries have different ISPs , which is secured through SSL

But because Mullvad's propaganda spouted by "privacy influencers" and pushed so hard on billboards, they have become the new global ISP.

This means in the situations you think you're getting the most privacy, it's the most likely that they sees both sides of your conversations.

Even worse, they use the largest internatonal honeypot servers, such as M247 & Datapacket, which every other VPN uses. For example, IVPN & Proton use the exact same commodity providers.

In fact, even websites use these same providers, so it's a conflict of interest. For example Discord & Mullvad both use DataPacket. So if you use Mullvad with Discord, you're hiding from DataPacket with DataPacket.

It's dangerous to have all human knowledge and metadata with the same companies, because Mullvad's employees in Sweden, have zero ability to stop memory dumps across the Atlanic. And these huge centralized providers are the most targeted. And the most likely have both sides of the puzzle.

In sharp contrast, HydraVeil uses smaller hardware providers that are focused on the single country in which they operate. This gives far better legal protection against global court orders.
